puddles

it's been raining non-stop the past 3 days... and it looks like more rain in the coming days.

*sighs*

i like rain occasionally when i feel like i want to be closeted in my room and watch the world go by through a window pane while huddled under my duvet. but rain is so hostile when i have to brave the wet and cold to get to class and the one and ONLY thing you would rather do is stay home and sleep.

so i'm in my puffer jacket with 2 tshirts and a cardi, and my uggs trying not to step in puddles and on worms. trying to hold on to my umbrella cos the wind keeps trying to pry it from my frozen fingers. and oh yes, worms! man, my sister so cannot live where i'm staying. the earthworms come out (to be trodden on) whenever it rains, so by the 3rd day of incessant raining, it's like a minefield of em just outside my building. fuhhhh... heaps and heaps of them just lying on the ground half dead or flattened sometimes. now i don't mind the occasional worm... but having to look carefully on the ground so i don't step on one gets to me. so gross! *shudder*.

so i really hope this ends. soon.
now i know why the depression rate in nz is so high.... :(


maybe i should start investing in a raincoat and wellies.
