random pictures

random pics. since i don't have much to update about.

comparing desks during exam seasons. yea, i know... it's incredibly untidy. but what to do? scholar's lifestyle. (hahar)

this is my sis teaching my dog to read. lol. erm, and coincidentally she's learning to read the sign that says 'no dogs'. how enlightening.

since ps wants to see... pic of new hairstyle. not much difference to old one i guess.

window shatterings on my car seat (after the breaking). they really do look like diamonds.

this week

i've been getting orders (orders?) from annann to update. so, guess i will. ok well, the last i updated... i

1. talked to sam (you know, the guy renee 'set up' for me) on msn. so far, we've managed to get along ok. and yeah, the whole setting up idea is pretty hilarious. haha.

2. had a haircut on tuesday. nothing much to say about that i guess, except that the guy (my hairdresser) cut off a lil' too much of my fringe. now it's too short... *frustrated sigh*

3. wed, went out for lunch with tabz. had a wonderful lunch but it wasn't too wonderful afters. came back to find my backseat left car door windowless. yeah, the sad reality. SOMEONE... smashed my car window to steal tab's bag which was behind. so, lesson learned.. it's very very unsafe to leave things in the car. and i usually do remember to keep my things in the car boot but the one time i forget is the time my car gets violated. anyway, that was the big news.

4. played badminton on thurs with the usual people and went for yas camp committee meet after that. me and mel arrived 15 minutes late, but spent another 15 minutes finding a place to park. so, we were really really late. how embarrassing *sigh*

i guess that's about it. nothing much else to tell. oh and today, went to gurney to watch the rat movie (as we call it) but ended up with evan almighty because it was already fully booked. was kinda moody today... (low sugar level? lol) so i really apologise for snapping at people and being difficult.

when i compare...

well, looks like i have actually grown up quite a bit. physically i don't know, still kinda small-sized but mentally and spiritually i hope. now, i know it's a little too early to be doing an assessment of the year (as i always tend to do during new years... you know.. retrospection i guess), but somehow i felt the need to do this. just to see how far i've gone in the year. compare the differences from last year.

so firstly, the most obvious difference... no more school. i guess people are never satisfied; hence economics... the science of choice (err... nevermind that). back when i was in school, all i could think of was "the day i leave school........" , but now that i'm already out of school and when i meet up with any of my school mates, all we can talk about are 'the good old school days'. so well, being out of school does have it's good and bad. the good side: more freedom. like a LOT more liberty to do whatever i want. for example, i can go out on a school day if i wanted to. the bad side: you don't feel the closeness of your schoolmates anymore. it's just not the same.

my class... 5A.

college life is kinda fun now that i've settled in and know more people. plus, chinese is not such an alien language to me anymore. here, you're free to be your own person. but assignments can be killing sometimes, especially when the end of sem approaches. then it's all completing assignments, presentations and studying. exausting. and i'm only in my first year! mercy people!!!

my visual comm group members with our final project. honestly, i think it's pretty ugly. sue me.

this is going to be a pretty long post i think.

i was reading through my older posts (2006) and there was one where i was complaining about not having ever said 'i love you' and all that. well, this is kinda personal and i don't usually say things like that here (privacy, baby) but this year, i did. i found out how it felt like to love and be loved back in return. to talk about my feelings without holding back.

once i said that i'd rather love and live with it's pain and joy then not love at all and never know what it felt like. well, i do know what pain feels like now, but also what joy is.

other than that, i'm driving now. well, technically, i could drive last year after getting my license but only got the green light from my parents to drive unsupervised this year. but honestly, i don't like driving all that much. it's overrated. haha... when i'm rich and have nothing to do with my hard earned cash, i'm gonna get myself a driver. seriously, driving is a hassle. and after my little accident (my baby molested a wira), i'm still traumatised.

and i'm much more independant nowadays. i used to be very timid and shy (some of you might find that a little hard to believe but it's true!) but now i can stand up by myself (figuratively speaking la) and get things done by myself. of course, sometimes i still do need help but you understand what i'm getting at.

i guess there're still a lot of changes this year (major turning point in my life for now). and i'll be updating more if i can think of any others. i think i've written more than enough for now.

trippin to the zoo

it's really warm now. warm warm humid warm. i want the rainy season back.. yea, rain is not too nice but at least it's cold then. well, cooler anyhow. had an excursion to t------ zoo on wed. fun but exceedingly warm to the point that the first thing on our mind was not lunch but WATERRRRR.... cold, icy, chilled H2O. or maybe the rest thought of lunch, but something cold was first and foremost in my mind. oh by the way, drinks there are pretty cheapo. small town living i guess.

but one thing i have to grouch about, it probably isn't the zoo's fault that most of the animals (except for the monkeys, but who likes monkeys? we get to see them in botanical gardens every other day) were hiding in their little houses sleeping. so what i saw was mostly, the back of an animal, the shadow of the animal hiding in some hole, some body parts of the animal or worse.. no animal at all. no action laaa.... ok fine, it's probably very unreasonable to expect animals, no no wait... DIurnal animals (the opposite of nocturnal... get it get it?) to be awake and hyper at 12 in the afternoon. but since i'm in my rather unreasonable mood here, i say that diurnal means they're supposed to be doing something in the day time and only sleep at night. i feel so cheated.

but on a more reasonable note (see, i'm not all bad), we did see the whole package. you know... animals from africa, australia (no kangaroos also), the rainforest troop, yadda yadda.... . the zoo is not as well maintained as others and some animals were really badly kept which made me really angry at one point. if you can't take care of them properly, then don't have them! grrrr.... overall, oh except for the 'missing' giraffe (i think it died), it was ok.

so, pictures pictures... i guess i should post some up. although i'm exceedingly lazy to do so and blogger takes a beard-growingly long time to upload them (yes i'm complaining), but, since i'm so kind, i shall take time away from my idleness to post a few. so appreciate it.

no, it's not an animal. mel was our driver there and back. his first time driving on the highway (read:no adult supervision)

this is erm... some squirrel i think. can't remember it's name. the animal... not lionel. haha

bambi!! really pretty deers. come to think of it, there were a lot of deers there. a very deer-friendly zoo.

i suppose you already know what this is without narration from me. but i pity this croc. it has to share it's pen with fellow slithery friends, the monitor lizard. ugh!

we move on to the swan. beautiful creature. spent quite some time just staring at it. however, notice that the neck isn't as bengkok as you'll ordinarily see. we don't know why. maybe it's a variation of the usual swan species. no idea.

the pink and red enclosure. pris was like "omgosh...this is so steph's place....". see the birds? there're all pink and red. how cute.

cool eh? reminds me of a wwe wrestler. all muscle and no neck. some more with it's fight face.

we were looking high and low for it after reading the name plate. and at last, found you! i think it's called a ghost owl or something. pretty ghost like if you were to happen to meet it at night when you're all alone....

hipo's are pink. did you know that? i have no idea what this one was doing but it looked like it was eating soil. well, at least they're not all submerged in the water. i like hipos... they're so cute!somehow i always imagine them in tutus and dancing ballet. heheh

erm, the posterior of an elephant. interesting eh? maybe the elephants were freakingly bored out of their wits but this herd were swaying their heads non stop. sway sway sway... and picking grass and chucking them aside. i ask you, is this typical elephant behaviour?

other than that, you'll have to go look at mel's blog to see more pics (that is, if he posts any up).

update

this is apparently not the season for updating. i've been trying and trying to blog but mostly they end up like this...

...."hols here... there's not much to blog about. plus i'm incredibly out of ideas..."

and then i delete them because i get stuck halfway without anything to write.

however, contrary to my lack of blogging spirit (i've just lost blogging steam), this hols have been pretty nice. people from outstation are starting to have hols too so, balik kampung! which is very cool because we get to meet up. just came back from lunch with ross (back from melaka), ting en and leena. the 'foursome'. there is just like, so much to catch up on.

people say that close friends you make in school are the ones you should keep always. and i definately wanna keep them.

and now lionel's back too. going trippin tomorrow to taiping zoo with him, mel and pris tomorrow. hopefully i don't fall sick today. feeling sickish at the moment.

about brownie

this is brownie.

yeah, i guess you could say that he was very unimaginatively named. he's brown, hence the name brownie. haha.. either that or i was craving for cake at that time. but it's not solely my fault that brownie's stuck with his name. he was jointly named. so too bad. muahaha.

oh but the first time i saw him, i fell in utter adoration. haha. gosh.. he's like the only dog that actually smiles. look look... just look at him smiling... plus he has the most adorable pig legs. ahaha...

i need something to blog about. desperately.
