when i compare...

well, looks like i have actually grown up quite a bit. physically i don't know, still kinda small-sized but mentally and spiritually i hope. now, i know it's a little too early to be doing an assessment of the year (as i always tend to do during new years... you know.. retrospection i guess), but somehow i felt the need to do this. just to see how far i've gone in the year. compare the differences from last year.

so firstly, the most obvious difference... no more school. i guess people are never satisfied; hence economics... the science of choice (err... nevermind that). back when i was in school, all i could think of was "the day i leave school........" , but now that i'm already out of school and when i meet up with any of my school mates, all we can talk about are 'the good old school days'. so well, being out of school does have it's good and bad. the good side: more freedom. like a LOT more liberty to do whatever i want. for example, i can go out on a school day if i wanted to. the bad side: you don't feel the closeness of your schoolmates anymore. it's just not the same.

my class... 5A.

college life is kinda fun now that i've settled in and know more people. plus, chinese is not such an alien language to me anymore. here, you're free to be your own person. but assignments can be killing sometimes, especially when the end of sem approaches. then it's all completing assignments, presentations and studying. exausting. and i'm only in my first year! mercy people!!!

my visual comm group members with our final project. honestly, i think it's pretty ugly. sue me.

this is going to be a pretty long post i think.

i was reading through my older posts (2006) and there was one where i was complaining about not having ever said 'i love you' and all that. well, this is kinda personal and i don't usually say things like that here (privacy, baby) but this year, i did. i found out how it felt like to love and be loved back in return. to talk about my feelings without holding back.

once i said that i'd rather love and live with it's pain and joy then not love at all and never know what it felt like. well, i do know what pain feels like now, but also what joy is.

other than that, i'm driving now. well, technically, i could drive last year after getting my license but only got the green light from my parents to drive unsupervised this year. but honestly, i don't like driving all that much. it's overrated. haha... when i'm rich and have nothing to do with my hard earned cash, i'm gonna get myself a driver. seriously, driving is a hassle. and after my little accident (my baby molested a wira), i'm still traumatised.

and i'm much more independant nowadays. i used to be very timid and shy (some of you might find that a little hard to believe but it's true!) but now i can stand up by myself (figuratively speaking la) and get things done by myself. of course, sometimes i still do need help but you understand what i'm getting at.

i guess there're still a lot of changes this year (major turning point in my life for now). and i'll be updating more if i can think of any others. i think i've written more than enough for now.
