like isn't love

and liking a lot isn't love either.

lust is not love

admiration is not love

basically a lot of things are not love.

so what is love exactly? i have yet to find out.

for all my counselling and listenin to people with you know... love problems (somehow people like to come to me, dunno why), i'm incredibly stupid when it comes to my own stuff. not only do i do the things i advise my friends not to do, i make even bigger messes. just great. but, i guess you've gotta make mistakes to learn from them, right?

so what have i learnt?

liking someone a lot doesn't mean it'll turn to love

forcing yourself to love someone is dang torturing

and lying to yourself about loving someone is going to hurt a lot of people in the end. especially yourself.

yes i admit i've made quite a lot of mistakes. you know, like when you break a glass, you've got to pick up the broken pieces and clean it up so the next person won't step on it and hurt him/herself. yeah, it's gonna hurt a bit and (being lazy) it's a lot of work but you gotta do what you gotta do. now i sound so goody goody. haha.

and that's why being single is best! haha i know i know... some people are so sick of me saying that. but really, i'm liking it now. no worries, no expectations, no problems. the right time (and person) will come eventually. so what for worry about that now when i'm enjoying life at present?
